Advanced Plugin Trace Log Finder

Overview

Advanced Plugin Trace Log Finder is an XrmToolBox tool for finding Dataverse Plugin Trace Logs quickly when investigating plugin errors or unexpected behavior.

The tool lets users search trace logs by message block, exception details, or type name. Searches can be narrowed by exact date and time window, target table, registered plugin or workflow activity, and error-only logs.

It includes two search modes:

Quick Search asks Dataverse to filter matching text first. This can return fewer rows, but may timeout on large trace text.

Deep Scan pages through trace logs and filters locally. This gives better progress and cancellation for large searches.

Users can monitor fetched, processed, and found counts while searching, cancel long searches between Dataverse page requests, review matching logs in a grid, inspect details, and export visible results to CSV.

The layout supports smaller screens with a resizable filters/results area, so users can adjust the workspace while reviewing logs.

This tool is useful for administrators, consultants, and developers who need a faster way to locate relevant Dataverse Plugin Trace Logs without manually browsing large trace log lists.
